The primary adjusting techniques we use are:

CBP (Clinical Biomechanics of Posture)

CBP
Also known as Chiropractic BioPhysics, CBP is effective in producing improved posture, spinal alignment, and restoration of essential spinal curves with traditional chiropractic manipulation which focuses on rehabilitation exercise, and unique spinal traction. This overall goal of this technique is to correct or normalize posture. CBP technique is currently the most evidenced-based and most researched of all forms of chiropractic technique.

Thompson Technique

The Thompson Technique uses a specific leg length analysis to pinpoint any misaligned vertebrae. Thompson protocol also utilizes a special table that drops in order to reduce the amount of energy needed to adjust the spine. Some more info here.

Webster Technique

Webster Technique
The Webster Technique is specifically designed for pregnant women. The Webster Technique or “the breech turning technique” analyzes the pelvis to look for any structural misalignments which may prevent the baby from positioning itself properly for birth. By adjusting the pelvis and creating more room for the baby, the baby is naturally able to go into an ideal position and allow for a more straightforward birth. This technique is great for all trimesters of pregnancy.

Pettibon Technique

The Pettibon System is a practice of assessing the patient and then performing a specific rehabilitation program to correct your spine and posture. This chiropractic technique’s mission is to realign the spine so it can optimally function in an upright position relative to gravity using the Pettibon Weighting System.

Light-Force Technique

Light-Force Technique is a method of applying ounces of pressure along the spine and using a handheld device called an Activator instrument to relax the body and release tension on the nerves. As this relaxes the muscles, it helps move the misaligned bone to its proper position so your body can come to the optimal state. This technique is more recommended for newborn, children, elderly, sensitive, etc.

If you have been to a chiropractor in the past and would like to be adjusted a specific way, let Dr. Cortner know when visiting the office. At Arise Chiropractic our patients are like family, not a number on a file. We want your experience to be enjoyable and beneficial.

Pediatric Chiropractic

Pediatric Chiropractic
Our children are the most precious gift. We know that their health is your top priority and we offer safe, holistic and effective approaches to managing your child’s health. More parents are seeking chiropractic care for their children because research studies are showing that many early childhood health complications are caused by spinal misalignments. Our gentle, safe adjustments are even suitable for infants with congenital spinal alignment issues. Chiropractic adjustments for children are effective in addressing the underlying cause of common symptoms such as colic, acid reflux, nursing/latching difficulties, ear infections, asthma, digestive issues, etc.
